Conclusion

INFO

I have learned how to do procedural foliage for easy set ups for environment's as well as using heightmaps to create a base of a real-world landscape to edit as in my unit 9 project diorama my landscape I had made was to smooth and looked like clay mountains compared to rocky carved withered mountains. As well as a more intuitive landscape material to calculate the different type of the landscape to paint certain set materials. This effects my chosen field as it helps me develop multiple types of environments faster and with more details.

I would say overall I had completed the experiment as I have a cinematic that transitions to the player will showing off the map I have made. As well I have learnt more about the functionality of sequencer in unreal which allowed me to add more features including sound, transitions, and actors. Which can me animated at the same time in sequencer.

This gives me more control over the cinematic allowing me to change add or delete certain parts of my cinematic. Also, I am incredibly pleased with the camera for the cinematic as it shows the map then seemingly transition s to the player. The foliage is great as its procedural, so it is fast to create and simulate different scenarios with a press of a button.
